Shirah's terms and conditions

Effective Date: Jan 01, 2024

In no event will we, our affiliates or their licensors, service providers, agents, employees, officers or directors be liable for damages of any kind, under any legal theory, arising out of or in connection with your use, or inability to use, our site, any websites linked to or from it, any content on our site or on such other websites, or any services or items obtained through our site or such other websites, including any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to, personal injury, pain and suffering, emotional distress, loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill, loss of data, missed deadlines and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise, even if foreseeable. The foregoing does not affect any liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Payment is required in full with all orders. Your credit/debit card will be debited on acceptance of your order to ensure that sufficient funds/credit are/is available in the account. All credit/debit cards are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery, and we are not obliged to inform you of the refusal. Should a suspected error be made in billing your credit/debit card, our policy is to provide a full and immediate refund, pending further investigation by the management. All of our prices are always fully inclusive of all global consumption and sales taxes (VAT, GST, etc.) that we may be legally obliged to apply to our customers depending on their individual physical location.

We endeavour to respond to all correspondence, including complaints, within a maximum of 48 hours from receipt. All complaints must be made in writing; our telephone staff are not authorised to handle such matters. Should a complaint not be resolved to a client’s satisfaction, we welcome arbitration from a respected and mutually agreed independent third party.

Shirah provide professional writing services. There is no trial or grace period after purchasing a resume writing/cover letter service. A considerable amount of time and effort goes into critiquing, researching, drafting, writing and proofreading your new documents. It is this time that you are purchasing rather than a tangible product. As resume writing is a bespoke and tailored service, we are unable to offer refunds once your project has been assigned to a writer. Like any bespoke writing service, you should expect at most 2 drafts and revisions before a finished product is available. To ensure satisfaction with your final documents, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Our writers will work with you throughout the revision process until the final draft is to your satisfaction. If you are unhappy with the work by your assigned writer, you may speak to our management team, and if deemed necessary we will change your writer free of charge. If a change of writer is requested, the delivery time of two business days (following the consultation call) is restarted, to ensure the new writer is fully brought up to speed on the current scope of the project. In the case of immigration consultations, within 5 Business Days you will have an audio/video consultation with a RCIC who will recommend best and alternative immigration pathways unique to you. After your assessment, you have a 5-business day window to respond with any questions you have. In no event will refunds be issued if deadlines are missed. Project lifecycles are unique to each individual’s needs and specifications. While first drafts are submitted within two business days of your initial consultation, we recommend starting the process at least ten business days before application deadlines to ensure your documents reflect perfectly with your own skills and experience and are tailored toward the position you are applying for.

You acknowledge and agree that Shirah may provide the Services using third party providers, including subcontractors and consultants (the “Third Party Providers”). You agree that, as between Shirah and its Third Party Providers, Shirah will have sole responsibility for handling all billing and contract negotiations.
